David Reid is a UK-based entrepreneur who runs (among other ventures) a successful business development consultancy. After meeting with David I was tapped to develop a new logo system for the rebranding of his practice.


Having had a chance to meet with David in person I focused on a few highlights from our conversation:
- Wanting to double his service rates, I sought to achieve a more “high end” aesthetic, something bespoke to mirror the personalized guidance he provides his clients.
- An Irish viscount, his heritage felt very core to his presence. I wanted to subtlely reflect this in the final product.
- His consulting style is “sharp,” "challenging," and "potent." I heavily considered these words while creating the customized letterforms and an icon that could fit into a range of use cases.
